Departure Saturday
ø From JFK Airport in New York City at 10:50 pm for overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 01 Sunday: Johannesburg
ø Morning arrival in Johannesburg at 6:50am and check-in at your hotel. After, spend a leisurely morning adjusting to the time change and climate. Lunch in the city.
ø Afternoon visit to Gold Reef City and into it's famed gold mine. Relax here for the afternoon before dinner in Johannesburg, where you spend the night.

Day 02 Monday: Durban
ø 9:15 morning flight for Durban, arriving at 10:25am. Settle into your hotel and lunch.
ø Afternoon tour of Durban and stroll along the Waterfront Boardwalk visiting craft shops and flea markets.
ø Dinner and overnight in Durban.

Day 03 Tuesday: Dundee-Battlefields - Shakaland
ø Early morning trip by car or coach to heartland of Zulu Nation; Dundee with lunch. Tour the battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. 
ø Afternoon drive to town of Eshowe and Norman Hurst Farm for overnight in Shakaland, a Zulu kraal built for the film Shaka Zulu.
ø Cultural performance with dinner and overnight in kraal.

Day 04 Wednesday: Shakaland - Simunye Kraal
ø Breakfast in the kraal and see village life and displays of Zulu lifestyles.
ø Lunch in Shakaland with afternoon departure for Melmouth and Simunye Kraal. Orientation at Simunye Trading Post at 3:00 with horse or wagon ride to the kraal. Enter the rural Kraal with Zulu warriors.
ø Dinner with Zulu dancing and overnight here.

Day 05 Thursday: Simunye Kraal - Kruger Park
ø Morning visit to the Kraal to see village life and visit the Zulu Chief and his wife. Demonstrations of homemade beer, Zulu stick-fighting and many local Zulu customs.
ø Late morning return to trading post to travel by coach or car to Kruger Park to eat lunch en route, with Game Drive before arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Kruger Park Lodge.

Day 06 Friday: Kruger Park
ø Early morning checkout from lodge followed by a Game Drive in Kruger Park.
ø Noon transfer to private game reserve and lunch at lodge. Afternoon Game Drive in private reserve.
ø Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 07 Saturday: Kruger Park - Blyde River
ø Early morning Game Drive on the private reserve, followed by breakfast and checkout. Mid-morning drive to Blyde River Canyon, arriving at noon for lunch and check-in to hotel in Graskop.
ø Afternoon driving tour of magnificent Blyde River Canyon with views of the lowveld and God's Window.
ø Evening return to Graskop for dinner and overnight.

Day 08 Sunday: Sabie - Sun City
ø Morning drive south to Sabie, stopping to see Bridal Veil Falls. Continue through Gustav Klingbiel Game Reserve, stopping in Lyndenburg for lunch.
ø Early afternoon drive to Sun City Resort near Johannesburg, with late afternoon check-in and an evening of pleasure and luxury at Sun City.
ø Dinner and overnight here.

Day 09 Monday: Sun City
ø Spend the day luxuriating at Sun City Resort, with dinner and overnight.

Day 10 Tuesday: Sun City - Johannesburg - Soweto
ø Morning checkout and return drive to Johannesburg, arriving at noon with lunch after.
ø Afternoon excursion to Soweto to visit the Hector Peterson Memorial - whose death sparked the resistance to apartheid. Tour township including homes of Nelson Mandela and Bishop Tutu with stop at sheeban, a typical pub in a private home.
ø Late afternoon light dinner and transfer for departure for 8:00pm return overnight flight to New York.

Arrival in New York
ø Arrive on Wednesday, JFK airport, New York City at 7:00am for onward connecting flight home.
